This refers to all the sound elements that the production creates to create the atmosphiere of the scene in a movie. There are some kinds of effects:
· Hard sound effect: Are common sounds that appears on screen like doors open, cars driving, etc.
· Background sound effect: Are sounds that don´t go at the same time with the image, but they indicate the setting to the viewers like car interiors, forest sounds, etc.
· Foley sound effects: Are sounds that goes at the same time of the image like, footsteps, movements with hand, foots, etc.
· Design sound effect: Are sounds very rare, because they not easily to record in nature. These sounds are usually on fiction films or in musical films to created mood.
All of these sound effects are used by sound editors that are professionals in the sound area.
I think that sound is important because it gives to your film the emotion that you want. Also the old movies have sound like the pianist during the film. It means that also in that time it was an important element to have success. When I said those times I mean that it don’t change now, too.
