Casablanca

In this movie we can see the use of different shots and angles like: over the shoulder shot, high angle, medium shot, close-up, and many others. The director used this shots and angles to make the viewers interested on those details and angles that anyone could see.
The music in this movie is very interesting because in each scene of a different problem is a different intense of the music. The music was written by Max Steiner. The interesting music in this movie was the “Duel of songs”, between Strasser and Laszlo at Rick´s Café. When each character appears were a different song, and when the movie still goes on the intensity of the songs increase and here creates a duel. In this movie are a lot of songs created by different musicians like: Isham Jones, Cecil Mack, Al Jolson , etc.
Casablanca was a great movie for me, because in that time it had almost all the things that a film have to have, like lights, shots, angles, music, etc. The lights were very interesting too, because we can see that they used a lot of lamps to reflect like a suspicious set and with lamps they created shadows on the characters and made them more interesting.

Sound effects

This refers to all the sound elements that the production creates to create the atmosphiere of the scene in a movie. There are some kinds of effects:
· Hard sound effect: Are common sounds that appears on screen like doors open, cars driving, etc.
· Background sound effect: Are sounds that don´t go at the same time with the image, but they indicate the setting to the viewers like car interiors, forest sounds, etc.
· Foley sound effects: Are sounds that goes at the same time of the image like, footsteps, movements with hand, foots, etc.
· Design sound effect: Are sounds very rare, because they not easily to record in nature. These sounds are usually on fiction films or in musical films to created mood.
All of these sound effects are used by sound editors that are professionals in the sound area.

Jurassic Park and the CGI

Jurassic Park is a science fiction of 1993 American. In this movie the director, Steven Spielberg, use computer generated effects in the computer, because it was difficult for the filmmaker to created all the set of the past and the huge dinosaur us, because they never saw a animal like those. They had to create miniatures and with the computer generated effects they can make them bigger and create the sets more realistic as it was possible. Stan Winston creates the animatronics dinosaurs. They moved all the details from the computer. The editor monitored every aspect of the movie as the rain, dinosaurs, sun, etc. , with all of this is why the movie is one of the most interesting in the moment of production, because it had to created in computer everything and that expend a lot of time filming.

CGI

The motion pictures are a visual effect and an art of illusion. Film viewers had watched a lot of effects some of them more realistic than others, but in the whole era of film it tried to created new systems and effects to make it more interesting. The computer Generated Effects are more useful for filmmakers, because is cheaper. They used the technology in computer when they wanted to created sets in the past, because there are difficult to create exactly the same and with the computer they can design new outfits and they can change the color of the skin, hair, shapes of the face, and everything related with the body. People could use computer generated effects in commercial, TV, movies. Those effects could be visible easily in movies and others that are non- easily visible.

Alice in Wonderland

This movie as we all know was a children book, and the director Burton change this classic, to the subconscious with nonsensical rhymes and literally crazy characters. In this movie we can see effects as the head of the red queen, all the effects that they used have to shoot in a special set with just one color background, because with this they can add effects. All the characters and movements that they used are the same that we used in our film classes. The special effects used the imaginary things to make our brain fly into that time, it also put those effects, because those little details are impossible to make and are not real things, and also some parts were dangerous to do, so they used effects.

Prosthetic Make-up

The technique of Prosthetic Make-up is very interesting, because it all beings with a casting, then appear the process of taking the mold of a body part, it is more common a model of the face, this is to use a base for sculpting the prosthetic. The molds are made from skin-safe silicone rubber. This mold is not enough to get a strong mold, that´s why they have to create a plaster or fiberglass bandage to provide support.
When they finished with this part they mold points in the sculpted to make sure that the two molds they created fix perfectly. One they finished with all the molds and sculpture of the face or any part of the body they started to paint the entire make up that in that moment they wanted to put.
Is very important to know how to paint and what colors to used, because it have to seems real in a movie, that´s why every element in the film had to fix. One of the hardest parts of prosthetic make-up is keeping the edges as thin as possible. They have to worry about every little detail to make it perfect in the movie.

Transformers

If we want to talk about a movie that used Visual Effects we can talk about Transformers. This movie had 99% done on computer, when we saw the parts of the Robots all of those scenes were done on computer. The sounds that the robots made were also done by computer. There we small parts in the movie that were done by them, but the rest of the movie was done by the computer. Well, as we can see here the effects that the computer do are very useful when we want to about a fantasy story or some things that are impossible to be shoot. For example the sound bite in Air Force One when he's close up, a couple of little head turns and things like that and when he's walking and prancing, all of that were done by them, not by the computer. So, as we can see there are mixtures of things done by the computer and others by them, this relation and mixture are very important to create the background perfect with the story.

Visual Effect

Visual Effects are the process when the imagery is created. Visual Effects are a mixture of live-action footage and computer generated imagery and this is to create the environment to look close of reality, but this could be very expensive and is impossible to catch it on films, it needs the help of a computer. Also it could create simple things that are visual effects, as we as class did.

There are some visual effects that are divided in four categories:
* Models: Small sets, models and animatronics.
* Matte Paintng: These we are studying right know. Digital or traditional paintings or photographs which are useful as backgrounds.
* Live-action effects: Keying actors or models through blue screening and green screening.
* Digital animation:Modeling, computer graphics lighting, tecturing, rigging, animating, and rendering computer-generated 3D characters, particle effects, digital sets, backgrounds.

The Visual Effects are often used during Post-Production, here is when the computer and the shoots are working together to get the Final Product. In the Post Production the films are edited with the graphic designs, animation and similar software. Also there the editors use special effects that are made on sets.
